Calvin Klein clutch
This would rank up there as one of the most impractical handbags of all time. Flat, this clutch won't store anything three-dimensional. But this bag is as sexy as ever, reminiscent of the old days when women used to carry huge, flat clutches the size of large envelopes. It has the perfect slimming quality and looks its best with an equally slimming outfit (say, tailored slacks and a crisp white shirt showing just a bit of cleavage). I have the metallic bronze clutch with a metallic turquoise lining (available from Nordstrom's) and the smaller clutches as well as the ones shown on the left are available at Macy's and Dillard's.

Chanel Holiday Collection 2005
The latest palette from Chanel packs in all the hues you need for a stunning holiday look. Equipped with 8 colors, you are free to mix and match at your heart's desire. The lip color can even double as a cream blush. Chanel has always been known for its rich colors and textures with its eye makeup. Violet is very much the color this holiday season. This eye palette looks particularly good on us Asians because it instantly "lifts" your eye, especially if you don't have folded lids like me. It's a relatively good bargain too - only $55 for 8 colors. Those of you who shop regularly at Chanel know that the quads (4-color palettes) alone are $55.

Revlon MoistureStay Ionic Hot/Cold Facial Sauna
Have you ever gotten breakouts after you've just done a facial? If so, you're not alone. The act of steaming your face brings impurities from underneath onto the surface. Hence, that is why we frequently see those annoying blemishes pop up just shortly after we've left the spa. A surefire way to keep your pores clean and clear is to steam your face regularly. How often? It depends on how prone you are to breakouts. I used to steam my face religiously for 15 minutes every night, but my aesthetician says capillaries will be broken that way. She recommends twice a week for normal to oily skin. Once a week seems to be the norm.

After you've finished steaming, be sure to run tissues or Q-tips over the areas you want to cleanse. You have a 10-minute window. Now would be a good time to clean out the dirt and squeeze those whiteheads and blackheads. (I used to break out regularly in between my eyebrows but those zits are long gone because I clean that area with Q-tips nightly.) When you're done, be sure to rinse your face with cool water and finish up with a toner. This closes up your pores as well as adjusts the pH balance of your skin. Folloup with a moisturizer. If you want clear, super smooth, moisturized and glowing skin, steaming must become a part of your beauty ritual. For better results, put a towel over your head when you're steaming. It keeps the steam from evaporating into the air.
